Zapier meets Directual

April 23, 2020

Directual is now connected with 2000+ popular apps, including Mailchimp, Trello, Google products, Dropbox, Airtable and many others. This integration leverages the power of Directual even more!

What is Zapier?

Zapier is an integration hub. It means that you can use Zapier as a “single window” to connect your app with any service from Zapier catalogue. The integration is called ‘Zap’—that is a connection between two apps made of a trigger and an action. A trigger is an event in one system, and an action happens in the other.  For example, you got a new email in your Gmail account (this is a trigger) and you want to create a new card on Trello (this is an action). There are thousands of options for choosing triggers and actions. The fantastic news is that now you can choose Directual among them, both on trigger-side and on action-side!

How can I use Zapier in my Directual-based app?

Let’s figure out the potential business effect of connecting your app with other systems.

If you already know why you need integrations, check the detailed instructions of setting up Zapier trigger/action on Directual.

There are two ways to connect third party system with Directual through Zapier:

  • Directual sends an object to the external system.
  • External system triggers and creates or updates an object in Directual database.

Some examples of Directual as a trigger

  • Adding new contact to Mailchimp audience;
  • Creating an Airtable record;
  • Creating detailed events in Google calendar;
  • Editting a Google Sheet;
  • Creating Trello card;
  • Updating Asana tasks;
  • Postings to a Slack channel;
  • Adding leads to Salesforce;
  • etc.

Examples of third party system as a trigger

  • Adding new Typeform entries to Directual as objects;
  • Saving new Google Sheets rows to Directual;
  • Importing events from Google Calendar into Directual;
  • Creating Directual objects from new Google Forms responses;
  • Adding JetForm submissions in Directual;
  • Saving parsed emails to Directual;
  • Adding PayPal sales to a Directual database;
  • etc.

Directual becomes a significant part of no-coding ecosystem

The barrier to building something is getting lower. There are plenty no-code and no-code products which can help you to create your new digital product with minimum of hand coding. Zapier plays a role of glue to that ecosystem, connecting lots of these services. And now, having connected with 99% of the modern business systems, Directual becomes the perfect choice for building flexible and scalable back-end for your new product.
